The 47th International Federation of Landscape Architects World Congress sponsored by China Architectural Culture Centre, will be held in Suzhou, China from 28-30 May 2010.
This year’s theme is “Harmony and Prosperity – Traditional Inheritance and Sustainable Development.”
The Congress will focus on cherishing and protecting traditional natural and cultural values. It will try to balance tradition and development in today’s society in the broader context of rapid globalisation and urbanisation.
The IFLA World Congress is organised by the Chinese Society of Landscape Architecture and the International Federation of Landscape Architects, supported by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People’s Republic of China, and co-organized by Suzhou People’s Government and Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Jiangsu Province.
