Entries are now open for the Reece Bathroom Innovation Awards (BIA) 2011 – one of Australia’s most prestigious product design competitions.
The BIA was established in 2005 by Reece to encourage and celebrate original bathroom product design and aims to showcase creativity and reward design excellence.
The Reece BIA offers local designers a unique opportunity to shape the bathrooms of tomorrow, and is open to design professionals and students.
Entrants are asked to design an innovative bathroom design piece from a list of product categories, including tapware, showers, toilets, baths, vanity basins and bathroom furniture.
There is $35 000 in prize money up for grabs – $20 000 for the winner of the professional category, $10 000 for the winner of the student category and $5 000 for the institution at which the winning student is enrolled.
Winners will have the chance for their designs to be commercially produced by Reece, as well as receive significant international media coverage.
Entries close on 31 May 2011, so start designing! Visit the Reece Bathroom Innovation Award website for competition details and designs from previous years.
