As part of this year’s Saturday in Design, Living Edge has invited architects and interior designer to craft their own original chair design.
Each designer will be given a kit containing two Chandon Sparkling corks, foil hoods and wire cages.
There have already been over 500 entries to the competition and “the judges are looking for originality, wit, artistry and craftsmanship”.
The winning entries will be on display at the Living Edge Studio, Surry Hills, from Wednesday July 29, with the winner announced at 3pm at Saturday in Design on 1 August. The winner will get an Eames Lounge and Ottoman and the runner-up will win six bottles of Domaine Chandon premium varietal wines and six bottles of Chandon Vintage Sparkling wine.
