Small Projects Branching Out

Small Australian Projects’ custom of gleaning the best from Australia’s finest architects ensures its furniture is, at once, both innovative and diverse.

Determined to respond to the multiplicity prevalent in Australian architecture, Small Australian Projects called on various firms to create pieces that respond to differing lifestyles and inspire our surroundings.

m3architecture reacted to this call with the highly anticipated ‘Millpond’ mirror which presents functionality whilst boasting an artistic statement which speaks volumes for its form.

While conventionally this piece can be used as a dress and make-up mirror, when displayed as furniture, the millpond mirror intensifies surrounding lights and shapes with astounding results.

Retaining their focus on design, m3architcture have stretched the characteristics of the material to their limits, and instilled the mirror with a liquid like quality, making it appear, quite literally, out of this world.

Small Australian Projects has showcased work by Donovan Hill in the past, and their latest range includes furniture from renowned architects such as m3architecture, John Wardle Architects, Durbach Block Architects and Owen and Vokes.

This unique range will be launched at Saturday in Design 2009 and is sure to have the design world talking.
