La la has been designed by Helen Kontouris for Schiavello to provide an aesthetically engaging stool with extensive applications.
September 23rd, 2010
La la stool, with its sharp hour glass lines yet seamless surface, is an engaging concept. Its sculptural form is charming from every possible angle. Encouraging different views, La la stool’s counteracting conical shapes collide diagonally, creating a fusion of crisp lines with curved forms.
When designing the La la stool Helen was experimenting with the notion of the collision of form, where angular meets organic, which she believe creates a seating experience; one of physical and emotional interaction.
La la is lightweight and versatile, allowing it to be moved easily, and when needed, can be used as a stool, side table or decorative accessory. This versatility makes La la perfect for residential, workspaces, break-out areas, hospitality, education and retail environments.
Made from virtually indestructible polyethylene, La la’s composition enables indoor and outdoor application.
