Zenith introduces the latest collection from Nicholls Design
October 28th, 2010
The Boxa stool and bench, designed by Brad Nicholls, doesn’t pretend it’s something it’s not.
In fact its organic look comes from the structural detailing, which is part of its overall appeal. The stool and bench collection is a simple, cleanline design. Nicholls credits its pared back aesthetic to the traditional box join, which shows its structural detail in all its beauty.
The simplicity of the wooden stool makes it a piece of furniture flexible for a range of uses and spaces, whether it’s in a café, reception or breakout area.
Nicholls’s love for the environment and his beloved farm southeast of Melbourne led him to source sustainable materials for his designs. So, unlike lacquers where you are actually touching a thin film of plastic, when you touch the surface of Boxa its actually timber at your fingertips.
Boxa stools will soon have the option of being available for limited outdoor use.
Stay tuned for the new table and outdoor version.
