When it comes to furniture design Filipino designer Kenneth Cobonpue stands out in the crowd, he is a World renowned furniture designer who turns heads with his brilliant creations.
October 12th, 2011
Kenneth uses a vast array of native, natural materials in his work, including palms, seagrasses, bamboo, abaca, and rattan.
The results reflect his mixed background; certain pieces look like they belong in a thatched hut in the tropics, while others look ready for a starkly minimalist office or modern home. The Matilda range featured communicates richness in its robust forms and invigorating surfaces. The rattan weave complements the hearty shapes that provide a sense of fullness to the collection. Resembling molded baskets, the collection features rattan’s beauty and durability through a variety of processes. Its not surprising that his designs have found use for Sunbrella® Fabric which compliments his striking designs.
