Influential Melbourne design education institution, Swinburne University of Technology’s Faculty of Design, celebrates its 100th Anniversary with Pen to Pixel.
The exhibition will celebrate the work of past graduates at Mezzanine Gallery, Chapel off Chapel until Sunday 3 August, 2008.
The exhibition brings together a diverse range of successful designers and practices, and showcases work that spans decades, charting changes in Australian culture, society and the economy, giving way to the rise of new design professions and new media disciplines.
Some of the Swinburne alumni featured in Pen to Pixel include: Ellison Harvie, the first woman senior architect of a major architectural practice in Australia (Stephenson & Turner 1930s-1950s); internationally acclaimed film director, Gillian Armstrong.
