Blackwood 8 is a group of business people based in Wonga Park, Victoria, with the common bond of having a friend diagnosed with a brain tumour.
Blackwood 8’s mission is to bring the Community together in a fun and positive environment with the goal of raising funds or the purpose of prevention, treatment and cure of cancer.
Their Gala Cocktail Evening, held on Friday 21 October at Manningham Function Centre, Doncaster, will bring people together for a 3 course dinner, drinks, guest speakers, live auctions and entertainment.
If you would like to reserve tickets for the Gala event, visit blackwood8.com.au or email Blackwood8@live.com.au.
Blackwood 8 raised $35,000 at their first Gala Ball in 2007, far exceeding expectations. In 2008 over $45,000 was raised and donated to the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research in Melbourne, and in 2009 and 2010 Blackwood 8 were proud to present over $97,000 to the Cure for Life Foundation.
