Blinds to help create the perfect climate. Read more…

For almost 40 years, Australian window coverings company Vertilux, have been pushing the boundaries of environmentally friendly design.
The company’s new approach, “control your environment”, extends their vision for a truly sustainable energy strategy.
Vertilux pride themselves on their products being able to keep areas cool in summer, warm in winter while minimising UV. The Fully Enclosed Kassett System, a blind that seals a window and blocks ambient light and heat, is just one example.
Furthermore, many of their products have been endorsed by green energy initiatives – its Greenvision fabrics, for instance, can gain points towards a green star rating from the Green Building Council of Australia.
Sensitive to emissions from their manufacturing processes, the company endorses a “waste not want not” philosophy. The cardboard tubes used to package materials for processing are reused for delivery and despatch of blinds, which can also be collected upon delivery for recycling. The factory itself uses gas-powered hot water in the ground to keep the factory warm, which in turn is used in the kitchen.
The new slogan “control your environment” was developed in conjunction with sustainability agency Republic of Everyone, who help to develop strategies and planning processes for businesses and organisations to achieve higher levels of sustainability and to maintain and develop growth.
