CLESTRA’s PleinAir is the first partition system to be certified by the Singapore Green Building Council.
April 6th, 2014
PleinAir is a very elegant and highly flexible demountable partition system. Launched in 2005 by Clestra Hauserman and available in solid and glazed panels and in a multitude of finishes, it recently passed all the assessment criteria levels of the Singapore Green Building Council (SGBC) product certification scheme, making it the first partition system to receive the certification in Singapore.
The Clestra systems are manufactured in ISO 9001 and 14001 certified factories. They have a direct favorable effect on Materials and Resources (Building Reuse, Construction Waste Management, Recycling content, etc.), Indoor Environmental Quality (low emission material, daylight and view) and Innovation In Design.
PleinAir has been installed in numerous iconic projects all over the world and remains a leader among the demountable partition systems available on the market.

The fact that the insulated solid steel panels are monobloc, already assembled and with powder-coat finish from the factory painting line is one of the biggest green benefits of the system when it comes to the installation on site and reuse. It is faster, safer and more environmental friendly compared to a standard drywall construction involving generation of Rockwool dust, paint particles and other potential hazards.
With the SGBC certification, Clestra confirms its contribution to the building industry’s efforts towards sustainability even as it continues to be involved in prestigious fit-outs in Singapore and the region.
