One of the pioneering brands of modern Italian design, Flexform has opened its first monobrand showroom in Singapore at a 3,000-square-foot gallery on Newton Road.
August 16th, 2017
Founded in Italy in 1959, Flexform is one of the pioneers of modern Italian design. Already a familiar name in the local design scene, the brand opened its first Singapore showroom at the start of August.
Occupying a 3,000-square-foot space with a fully glazed frontage at 200 Newton Road, the showroom is presented by Kuala Lumpur-based luxury furniture retailer Studio216.
An in-house design team from Flexform Italy designed the space to reflect the brand’s ethos of discreet and enduring elegance. This ethos translates into an earthy and neutral material palette featuring travertine flooring, dark steel and bespoke metal screens that speak of understated and approachable luxury.
“Flexform’s current campaign slogan is ‘Home at Last’ and as such we want this showroom to make you feel at home,” said Tien Loi, Flexform Area Manager for Asia at the media preview of the showroom.
The collections displayed on the showroom’s two levels include iconic pieces by Italian furniture maestro Antonio Citterio, such as the Groundpiece, the Magister and the A B C D sofas.
Launched in 2001 (and the brand’s bestseller since), the Groundpiece sofa redefined the notion of comfort with its revolutionary proportions that offer a comfortable depth and generous cushioning hovering just over the floor.
Debuted in 1982, Magister is a timeless interpretation of the classic chesterfield sofa that can be converted to a daybed with an easy mechanism. And design aficionados would delight in trying out the patented simple-yet-sophisticated reclining mechanism of the A B C D sofa.
The Flexform Singapore showroom is located at 200 Newton Road, unit 01-01.

Born as an immigrant’s dream in 1956, the Fanuli brand is defined by close-knit bonds of kinship and a core set of values passed on from father – the late Giuseppe Fanuli – to sons. This is the story of the Fanuli family legacy.
Furniture brand, Flexform champions Italian craftsmanship, distinct charm and a symphony of exquisite materiality with Romeo – the new lounging system by Antonio Citterio.
“Family is paramount; it is a priceless legacy of resources, inspiration and expertise.” Across the generations, Flexform SpA embodies their company values into forward-thinking, timeless and human-centric products. In 2020, their new Outdoor Collection is no different.
