Adding on to the Arflex collection, the historical Delfino armchair designed by Erberto Carboni in the 1950s is a timeless statement piece that elevates the lounging experience.

Named after the graceful dolphin, the Delfino armchair, developed by the late Italian designer Erberto Carboni in 1954 exemplifies the notion of “organic” furniture explored during the era. During this period, designers drew inspiration from nature to create distinct pieces, and some have gone on to be crowned design classics.
Thanks to its timeless aesthetic, functional form and comfort, the Delfino armchair is making a return to the Arflex collection. While the armchair embodies the graphical signature of Carboni, it makes for more than just a showy statement. The playful dolphin-shaped side profile creates a sinuous silhouette that enhances back support, creating a seating shell that is inviting and ideal for lounging. Metal armrests act as “fins” that support the user’s arms, maximising relaxation time.
Structured in solid wood, the chair is covered by sculpted polyurethane with differentiated density. The metal armrest is wrapped in a polyester slip cover. Besides solid colours, the upholstery also comes in homely patterns. The base is offered in black or golden lacquered metal to portray a subtle or grand expression respectively.
Arflex is carried in Singapore by Space Furniture.
