Each design in Les Nécessaires d’Hermès performs several functions. Certain pieces also contain hidden or sliding drawers, a surprising detail that adds a unique aspect to the range.

“Pieces that exude casual, light elegance with their original shapes, surprising hidden functions and noble materials recalling Hermès’ heritage.” This is how French designer Philippe Nigro describes the valet stands, tidies and occasional seating he has designed.
Each cleverly conceived piece in the collection performs several functions. These ‘essential necessities’ can be used for sitting down and relaxing, for storage or for concealing objects. Certain items also come with concealed or sliding drawers, surprising features that bring a touch of magic to the everyday.
The designs are manufactured according to the traditions of high-quality cabinetmaking and upholstering, and utilise exquisite materials such as Canaletto walnut wood, brushed steel, leather and Hermès fabrics.
