Italian outdoor furniture brand Emu has created pint-sized versions of Ronda and Pigalle – for kids!
March 22nd, 2011
Appreciation for Italian design starts young at Emu – and in this case, with two of its bestsellers, the Ronda chair and Pigalle table.
Suitably named Baby Ronda, the classic chair by Aldo Ciabatti, which has been enlivening gardens and terraces the world over, has now been scaled down to child size whilst retaining the same pattern and solidity of the original. The chair’s perforated motif gives rise to an interesting play of light which filters through the transparencies of the coloured metal sheet.

The piece is matched with Baby Pigalle, a table that’s suited to the smallest members of the family. Both come in lively colour options, making them ideal for playing, doing homework and dining on.
This year also marks the 60th anniversary of Emu, which has been making the best merge of technological innovation, cultural heritage and skill in working metal since its early days. Today, Emu’s furniture for both outdoors and in can be found not only in the gardens and terraces of residences, but in many cafes and notable hotels around the world.
