For the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia, securing their newly renovated members bar was of the upmost importance, and The Australian Trellis Door Company delivered security with panache.
The prestigious Cruising Yacht Club of Australia is regarded as one of Australia‘s premier yacht clubs, widely regarded as one of the leaders in ocean racing in the country. Perhaps best known as the club that hosts the world famous annual Sydney to Hobart yacht race, the club prides itself on style, grace and safety.
The club’s member’s bar is a place to relax and recline between jaunts at sea. But after-hours, it needed to be protected and The Australian Trellis Door Company had the solution. The recently completed project required the installation of bar closure doors along the curved bar counter top of the exclusive member’s area.
The project, handled by renowned architectural firm Allen Jack + Cottier, involved the installation of the Australian Trellis Door Company’s 300mm wide panel bar closure doors in a black, powdercoated finish.
The Permashield Folding Doors during installation of the member’s bar
Being in a bar environment with all the associated prevalence of alcohol and food, a fully perforated mesh infill was specified inside the closure door curtain, allowing for security as well as ventilation purposes.
The Australian Trellis Door Company’s up/down locking mechanisms worked to achieve a seamless lock system for the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia, while also allowing for bar staff to enter and exit the bar area without the need for opening up the entire door.
The Permashield folding doors used in the yacht club’s bar are a lightweight yet tough and secure solution for projects where more security is needed. The range of Permashield folding closures from Australian Trellis Doors can be uniquely designed for all types of premises and projects. Made for durability, low maintenance, and long life performance, these folding closures are designed to provide excellent security and peace of mind for any commercial environment – while still being stylish and visually unobtrusive.
With a proven track record and industry defining security solutions, it’s no surprise the Australian Trellis Door Company was specified in the completion of this new member’s bar of the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia. Now the club can rest assured its members will have the perfect place to relax after a cruise, and the place itself will be secure for decades to come.
