Designed by architects Populous and Tyrrell Studio, construction has begun on the NSW Government’s $309 million redevelopment of Penrith Stadium led by John Holland Group.

The new Penrith Stadium precinct is expected to be complete and ready for operations in 2027. It’s set to be a modern venue for sport, recreation and entertainment, with the project expected to generate around 500 jobs during construction and a further 650 jobs during operation.

The multipurpose venue is set to attract new sporting events to Penrith while continuing to support the growth of rugby league, rugby union and football in Western Sydney. Beyond sporting events, the stadium will be able to host up to ten concerts every year with a capacity of 30,000, while smaller spaces will be available for private events such as meetings, conferences and catered functions. Meanwhile, the training field adjacent to the stadium will also be remodelled to create quality open community spaces with multipurpose courts, child-friendly areas and improved landscaping.
