Square Metres: 1600 over 2 levels
Location: Camperdown, NSW
Completed: Jul 2009
“Futurespace worked very closely with Buildcorp on the upgrade and refurbishment of their own building in Camperdown, Sydney. The work carried out was part of a staged refurbishment of Buildcorp’s building and also included new offices for Sydney University’s NHMRC Clinical Trial Centre.
“A process of stripping away the unsympathetic previous works revealed the building’s true character and quality. The offices for Buildcorp on the top 2 floors of the building were connected with a new open stair to facilitate movement and communication. The new workplace followed modern best workplace practice to create an open flexible team environment with abundant natural light. A strong focus on environmental performance of both planning and materials was key.
“The project coincided with the transition to a new website and corporate identity for Buildcorp and reinforces their growth since their inception in 1990 into one of Australia’s leading building and construction groups.”
