Melbourne University began the project to address the shortage of rural health professionals. The project provides integrated accommodation, education and conference facilities.

The concept was to create a ‘village hub’ and community feel to attract doctors and their families, with strong references to the integrated nature of towns and cities.

The facility consists of a suite of 12 buildings, all with their own ‘visual vernacular’ inspired by the surrounding environment, and offers shared bedroom, accommodation units and townhouse style family homes.
