The Milker Stool by designer David Walley is a celebration of tradition, simplicity and provenance.

The Milker low stool and bar stool, designed by David Walley, are refined and contemporary interpretations of the classic one-legged stool. The single coloured leg was inspired by a collection of over 200 milking stools, each unique. Although most traditional milking stools had three legs, many were simple one-legged devices that the milker balanced on and in countries such as Switzerland. The one-legged stool was common.

The single coloured leg on the Yellow Diva Milker reflects these origins. The single painted leg allows a subtle introduction of colour. Zenith Interiors has selected a palette of ten colours, based on traditional ‘milk paints’: four warm and four cool colours, plus black and white.

Milker is made in Australia, from American ash. The timber is finished with transparent ‘raw’ oil that retains the natural look and feel of the timber.
