Sydney’s MCA was the venue for the recent launch of Swiss architect and designer Daniel Korb’s XF Work, Meeting and Wax Executive furniture range.
April 17th, 2012
Daniel Korb, the Swiss architect and designer behind Xchange Design, was a special guest at the Sydney launch of his XF Work, Meeting and Executive Furniture.
XF is the culmination of Korb’s 25 years of experience in designing systems and executive furniture, embodying his mantra “context matters” and “furniture is architecture on a different scale.”

Influenced by the Bauhaus movement, Le Corbusier and Frank Lloyd Wright, Korb’s designs are characterised by design precision, elegance, simplicity, quality and timelessness.
The XF platform is based on a ’one plus one’ philosophy – one leg casting plus one extrusion, governed by clear rules reducing complexity, is all that is needed for a system that solves many different design solutions in an elegant way.

The flexible system gives designers the freedom to meet the needs of all manner of projects.
Workstations are available in team table, bench and sit to stand formats. Designers can specify a specialised tool rail and slide in, or universal 30mm screen.

Meeting ranges come in a range of sizes and shapes and can span up to 3600mm long with only four legs.
The majority of the XF platform’s components are manufactured locally, minimising lead times, shipping and packaging and reducing environmental impact. XF utilises recyclable materials and is designed for disassembly, qualifying the system for 6 points on the Greenstar calculator.
XF Work, XF Meeting and XF Wax Executive are available exclusively in NSW and ACT by CFS Furniture.
