Ten finishes of Briggs TrueGrain reconstructed veneers are now FSC certified, and Briggs expects that most of the TrueGrain range will become FSC certified by the end of the year.

The current FSC certified TrueGrain finishes include the popular TrueGrain Mocha, Limewood, WinterWhite, HoneySuckle, Bamboo, TrueGrain Natural American Walnut and Rift Oak.

If you are looking for more timber veneer options, Briggs also offers an eco-cert certified natural timber veneer range, comprising more than 30 natural timber veneers. The eco-cert range is certified by FSC or AFS and GECA.

Eco-cert veneers are “Straight of the log – just as nature made them,” making each fit-out or furniture project unique.

Briggs can make TrueGrain and eco-cert veneers fire retardant to reach BCA Fire Hazard Group 2. To ensure these standards are met, it’s simple: Specify the substrate as Briggs FLAMEBLOCK fire retardant MDF.

FLAMEBLOCK is also PEFC certified for sustainability. TrueGrain and FLAMEBLOCK are low formaldehyde E1, fully complying with Australian occupational health and safety requirements.

Visit the Briggs website to view the full set of Chain of Custody and Fire Certificates.

FSC, AFS and PEFC can all contribute to Green Star ‘timber’ points on a project.
