Staron Solid Surfaces by Samsung and designers cornivo + multari reinvent the park bench at FuoriSalone 2011.
September 22nd, 2011
At FuoriSalone in Milan this year, cornivo + multari presented two new, futuristic takes on that icon of street furniture, the park bench.
The first design, made entirely with Staron Solid Surfaces, was a solid bench thermoformed for smooth, clean curves. The minimalistic look of the piece gives it a contemporary edge.

The second design is a tribute to the traditional street bench, incorporating a new look but staying true to the original form. Staron panels in a crisp white form the seating area.

Designers cornivo + multari chose to use Staron for their exhibition because of the product’s seamlessness, functionality and environmental sustainability. As well as the benches they created plant boxes and wall cladding using Staron Solid Surfaces.

Take a look at the video below for a behind-the-scenes look at the action.
