For Los Angeles-based design studio, Bend Goods, 2020 marks a milestone in the business. 2020 is a celebration of their 10th year creating unique furniture, lighting and other ‘goods,’ with an innovative playfulness that the industry can’t help but fall in love with. With a decade in the making, Bend Goods is best known in the Australian market for changing the wire furniture game with Lucy. The ever-popular Lucy is a seating collection that has now been noted as a classic and a hospitality staple for many years.
Australian furniture brand, Ownworld is thrilled to welcome a new Bend Goods member to the family: the Rachel Chair. Less is more when it comes to Rachel – its clean lines and minimalistic design makes it the perfect sculptural statement piece, without overpowering the room it’s in.
Like all Bend pieces, Rachel boasts Bend Goods’ signature craftsmanship and design talents. Its playfully functional design is made up of intricate steel rod arrangement, the chair’s distinct form is achieved through a hand-crafted method of shaping, spot welding and ‘bending.’ Each part is meticulously assembled and arranged together to ensure structural strength without compromising on the overall form. The angles of the back align perfectly with the curves of the seat and the closeness of the rods, making sure that the chair is ergonomically sound for the user’s wellbeing.
Designed with superior comfort in mind, Rachel is highly refined to elevate your everyday seating experience. If you love the classics, the Rachel Chair is available in black or white – or if standing out is more your style, Rachel comes in bold tones of yellow or peacock blue to bring a splash of colour to any setting.
The Rachel Chair is available Australia-wide through Ownworld.
