The latest addition to Miele’s range, the DA 6000 W Cabrio Wall Décor Rangehood is a fusion of state-of-the art performance and innovative design.
January 11th, 2010
The flagship model represents a manufacturing first for Miele and has been created to be fully integrated into kitchen walls. The rangehood’s unobtrusiveness is reflective of modern trends towards open plan living and provides new avenues for kitchen architecture.
Elegant and practical, this rangehood can effectively disappear and in a wall and be concealed in the splash-back behind the hob unit when not in use. Only the decorative, horizontal glass panels in metallic silver are visible when the unit is in off mode.
When switched on, a motorised, integrated canopy gently opens and automatically extends above the cook-top. A second motor tilts each of the glass panels to allow the rangehood to efficiently extract steam and vapours while the parallel movement of every second glass panel ensures highly effective vapour extraction.
After use, the unit perfectly retracts back into the kitchen wall.
The 90cm rangehood showcases an innovative lighting concept, with indirect LED lighting along the lower edge of the glass panel to produce diffuse atmospheric lighting providing an attractive display in any well-designed kitchen.
Powerful halogen down-lighting in a top glass panel effectively illuminates the cooking area while separate halogen hob downlighting is also integrated into an upper glass panel and can be switched on when in use.
The Miele DA 6000 W features high-end electronics with solid-state touch controls on glass. Functions include three power settings such as intensive setting, run-on function and a programmable grease filter saturation indicator.
An integrated safety switch-off is set to immediately stop the canopy movement in the event that the sensors detect an obstruction when opening or closing the hood.
The DA 6000 W lends itself to a range of design configurations including the integration between glass panels in metallic silver or an alternative colour, or the adjacent installation of extra deep wall units, ensuring that the available space is well-utilised.
Made in Germany in line with Miele’s high quality standards, the unit is an ideal companion for the company’s range of HiLight and Induction cooktops and is suitable for ducted installation.
The DA 6000 W Cabrio Wall Décor Rangehood will be available from Miele Chartered agents for an introductory price of $10,999.
