Maxton Fox, a focus on Australian design, manufacturing and technology.
November 4th, 2009
Australian furniture manufacturer, Maxton Fox, is committed to being just that – an Australian manufacturer.
Over 90% of the Maxton Fox product range is designed and manufactured in their Australian factory, with the company acquiring a number of new machines over the past two years, speeding up production and maximising quality control.
Utilising current and developing technologies to produce commercial furniture products, Maxton Fox have been analysing and evaluating their manufacturing efficiency, material wastage, factory flow and environmental impact.
As a result, the company has invested significantly in new technology and machinery to speed up production across timber machining/ cabinet making as well as their metal and powdercoating operations.
The Maxton Fox manufacturing inventory now includes two new Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) routers and edging machines, improved powdercoating equipment and new computer operated machinery in their metal-working section.
“Investing in new technology in these areas has allowed us to produce our products with a higher level of quality in a much shorter time period as well as reduce the end cost of the product,” says Maxton Fox’s Dennis Hall.
The results of these manufacturing advancements can already be seen in Maxton Fox products, including one of their newest products, the ‘MAXboard’ used in workstation panels.
These upgrades show a significant investment by Maxton Fox in keeping manufacturing and design of commercial furniture in Australia and supporting the local design community.
