What does your company supply?
Recognised for creating the world’s most innovative appliances, Miele Australia’s premium domestic range includes washing machines and dryers, dishwashers, built-in cooking appliances, rangehoods, coffee machines, refrigerators and floor products.
Miele also specialises in commercial equipment for use in hotels, restaurants, hospitals and laboratories.
What’s the history of your company?
Founded in Germany in 1899, Miele remains the world’s largest family-owned and operated appliance company.
In 1980, Miele Australia became the first Miele subsidiary established outside of Europe. Today, with offices in capital cities around the country, Miele is regarded as the leading premium appliance brand on the Australian market.
Where do you distribute?
Various Miele Galleries impressively showcase Miele’s appliances in capital cities around Australia.
While exuding their own individual personality, each Miele Gallery is designed to creatively present Miele’s outstanding ranges of premium domestic appliances in an impressive display where lifestyle is the theme.
In addition, Miele appliances are also available from Miele Chartered Agents nationwide.
What sets your company apart?
Since 1899, Miele has been committed to the motto “Immer Besser” (Forever Better).
Today, Miele continues to ensure the delivery of a superior consumer experience that consistently positions Miele as a premium, aspirational brand.
Miele’s unique brand platform showcases its appliances as German engineered and tested to the equivalent of 20 years usage, reinforcing Miele’s heritage, and reflecting Miele appliances’ superior performance, longevity, quality, and design excellence.
What are your clients’ priorities at the moment?
For Miele, responsibility and sustainable business have always been a key part of the company philosophy. These factors uphold Miele’s product design commitment to develop appliances, not only characterised by durability, constant innovations and unique design, but also very user-friendly, highly energy efficient with excellent recyclable capacity.
What is good design to you?
To achieve a stylish total kitchen fit out, Miele appliances are designed to complement each other and can either take centre stage or blend in seamlessly.
To achieve a consistent fleet design, sets of built-in Miele appliances can be grouped to achieve perfectly continuous lines.
In addition, select Miele rangehoods allow for height adjustment and select induction cooktops are flush mounted. Miele’s design philosophy ensures that appliances are unobtrusive and will never be out of date.
What does the future hold?
R&D investment has always been pivotal to the future development of Miele appliances.
In fact, Miele foresaw the trend in contemporary cooking that places the kitchen at the hub of home living.
The company is also committed to the design of appliances that are so technically advanced they take the guesswork out of producing great food while adapting the technology of the commercial kitchen for the home cook.
Miele’s innovative cooking technology enables it to adapt commercial cooking technologies such as induction cooktops, steam cookers and Miele’s Salamander into its domestic appliances, resulting in outstanding restaurant quality meals at home.
