It’s award-winning and problem solving: The Ultra-Combi 3-in-1 Oven gives you three appliances in one, saving space and reducing environmental impact.
March 30th, 2022
Smaller kitchen trends are taking hold in both commercial and residential kitchens. While kitchens remain the ‘heart of the home’, the growth in food delivery and dining out options has meant that the modern kitchen has evolved into a space that is smaller, tighter and more concise.
Meanwhile, in the commercial kitchen sector, restaurants are dedicating more space to front-of-house and reducing overall back-of-house space. In addition, new food business concepts such as pop-up restaurants and food trucks are being built with limited kitchen space in mind.
Both trends indicate a growing demand for smaller, more multi-functional appliances to save space without compromising on performance and functionality. Loved by chefs for the variety of cooking technique options on offer, a combi oven offers multiple functions built into one product, providing kitchens with more space to work efficiently and comfortably.
At the cutting edge of this category is ILVE with its new ProfessionalPLUS Series Ultra-Combi 3-in-1 Oven, winner of the product design – domestic appliances category in the recent Australian Good Design Awards. Designed and built in Italy, ILVE’s new Ultra-Combi oven incorporates an oven, steam oven and microwave in one innovative appliance.
“We are thrilled with this win and very pleased and humbled to be acknowledged on behalf of ILVE S.p.A and their relentless product development team who constantly strive for perfection and product improvement. This award alongside the recent Panoramagic design award win has cemented ILVE as a diverse, cutting edge and innovative appliance brand and manufacturer,” says Eurolinx Marketing Manager Daniel Bertuccio.
With the Ultra-Combi, ILVE challenged themselves to seamlessly incorporate three appliances into one efficient unit while maintaining a light spatial footprint. This required ILVE’s designers and engineers to rethink their approach to appliance design, incorporating key necessary features from each appliance and finding compatibility between them. The compact triple-purpose design includes grill elements for static and fan grill cooking, built-in water talk with easy access, a 1600W microwave generator, a 1600W circular heating element, and a 1200W steam generator. Fitted with intuitive TFT electronic oven control, the range allows you to control temperature and choose from 10 (four combined) multifunction cooking modes for perfect cooking every time.
Safety features include a triple-glazed glass door that is tinted to keep the heat inside the oven and resulting in a ‘cool to touch’ door exterior. The oven also includes a safe-touch athermic door handle and knob, and child safety lock. The unit is also A-class energy rated to minimise the home’s environmental footprint.
Featuring ILVE’s iconic commercial design with Milano styling, the Ultra-Combi can be set up in double, horizontal or vertical compositions, to fit into any space. The ProfessionalPLUS series is available in stainless steel as well as a high-quality black glass finish. The oven’s full-touch 4.3 inch TFT displays, as well as its high-quality glass and steel finishes, makes this product one of the most beautifully-designed appliances available.
