Colourful timber tables inspired by the craft of hand thrown vessels

Ida was one of the ten finalist designs in Launchpad 2012. Tubert Yule designed these friendly, colourful little tables to be displayed as a collection. The different forms are complementary, and together they exude so much playfulness and individuality.

The form of hand thrown vessels inspired the design, reminiscent of ancient vases and earthenware. The effect is somewhat classical when Ida is given a Natural Oil Finish, and quirky and energising when given one of the coloured options  –  Pear Green, Sunshine Yellow, Burnt Orange, Peacock Blue, or Dark Stain.

The sense of hand thrown vessels also entered into the crafting of Ida. The side tables are made from pure solid Tasmanian Oak or Victorian Ash – specific plantation timber only. Ida is certain to enliven any space.
