The renowned Hassan Hajjaj joined us for an in-person interview directly from the airport in Sydney, having arrived to take part in Sydney Design Week with the Powerhouse Museum. Known affectionately as the Andy Warhol of Marrakech – his clothing brand Andy Wahloo is a comical reference to this, meaning ‘I have nothing’ in Moroccan Arabic – his shots juxtapose modernity with tradition.
