December 31st, 2007
This artist has gone back to the roots.
’The Nature of Wood’ is a collection of environmental sculptures, created from the roots of trees which took 900 years to grow, 15 minutes to fall, three months to excavate and 2 months to sculpt.
Sourced and sculpted straight from the Australian rainforests by Aussie artist Guyzo, the unique artworks are of educational significance, offering an important message about the future of our forests.
Guyzo’s sculptures include timber furniture – one of the pieces is a 20ft long table, sculpted from the root systems of a red cedar tree.
