Trained in The Netherlands at the renowned Eindhoven, School of Architecture, Koos not only brings a strong academic insight, but practical approach to all his projects.
With more than 20 years experience in both residential and commercial design, Koos has become renowned in Australia for his commercially intuitive solutions to complex medium-to-high density mixed-use projects.
Producing fresh and forward-thinking architectural solutions for micro and macro environments, dKO has differentiated themselves in a competitive marketplace through their sensitive approach to community maintenance. Koos has been instrumental in this movement, ensuring that he creates not only a building, but a sense of place within each and every space.
Managing architectural teams in Melbourne and Sydney, Koos leads a team of approximately 60 professional architects, planners and designers who together possess a unique combination of experience, innovation and vision.
Previous to dKO, Koos built up the Victorian design office of Mirvac to a 140 strong team from scratch, in the 2000 Koos left to pursue his own architectural vision, and with dKO has now created an energetic and highly creative architectural environment, fluent in all forms of contemporary architecture.
