Things are really heating up in the lead-up to Saturday in Design Singapore, the year’s hottest design event appearing in Singapore for the very first time.
January 14th, 2011
Bene, BW Furniture, Caesarstone, Create Stone, Infinity Textiles and Waldmann Lighting are the latest exhibitors to be confirmed for Saturday in Design Singapore in 2011.
They join a stellar line-up of industry leaders, including Artemide, ERCO Lighting, Herman Miller, InterfaceFLOR, Matteograssi, Poliform, Proof Living, Smeg, Victoria and Albert, Xtra and Walter Knoll, all eager to open their doors to the international design community in a thriving creative hub.
The streets of Singapore will be abuzz on 21 May 2011 with design professionals and design lovers moving from showroom to showroom, exploring the best in local and international products from Air Division, Arper, Artemide, Barbara Barry, Boffi, Cappellini, Dauphin, Foundry, Minotti, Missoni Home, Poltrona Frau, Schiavello, Space Furniture, Teknion, Vitra and Woven Image.
Saturday in Design is much more than a trade fair – it’s an opportunity for designers to seek out the newest products and trends, and for retailers and manufacturers to connect directly with consumers.
Jamie Meyer, Bathroom Marketing Coordinator of previous Australian exhibitor Reece Bathroom Life, describes it as “a unique opportunity to reach a large portion of the architecture and design community all within one day.”
The event’s unique format brings clients and suppliers together to build connections that just aren’t possible in a trade hall.
“Saturday in Design lets us present ourselves exactly how we want, at our own showroom in a way we could never do within the constraints of a fair,” said Susan Tait, Marketing Manager, Tait Furniture, of the 2010 event in Melbourne.
Saturday in Design has grown exponentially since its inception in Sydney in 2003 to become a major international event, featuring collaborative offshoot exhibitions like the Project and the Launch Pad program for emerging design.
Singapore’s status as a world leader in design, with a flourishing community of talented architects and designers, will make 2011’s Saturday in Design an event not to be missed.
Online registration opens next week via the Saturday in Design Singapore website. Stay tuned for regular news and updates on everything you need to know to take part in the design event of the year!
