UTS Associate Professor Douglas Tomkin has been assisting litigation cases involving products for several years, and will now be putting others in the hot seat with his upcoming exhibition.

“In many injury litigation cases, the question that arises is – was the product faulty (either through manufacture or design) or did the user contribute in some way?”

The exhibition Expert Witness takes the viewer through three investigation cases where Douglas’s expertise has been sought and asks the us to ponder if this was the case or not.

“I wished to allow the visitor the opportunity to deliberate over the cases, independent from my own conclusions,” says Tomkin.

Tomkin has worked for AccessUTS, a subsidiary of UTS for 10 years.
