Innovative French design team seeks audience participation for new prototypes.
November 11th, 2009
Belgium might be more famous for mussels and frites than design innovation – but this December designers are heading to the Kortrijk, Belgium, to showcase their latest projects in the 2009 Design at Work fair.
The fair focusses on the development and introduction of materials, products and services from a variety of sectors including communication, care, mobility, work and more.
On display will be services and products from companies specialising in market research, industrial design, prototyping, engineering, intellectual property, manufacturing and branding.
The 8th December sees the launch of the fair, where Oxylane – the design and innovation arm of the French sports equipment specialists Decathlon – will be the ‘honoured company’.
Three workshops, presented by France’s largest internal design company, have been designed exclusively for the exhibition.
Through input and scenarios, 12 selected participants will take part in the creative design process from conception to development.
New prototypes for home sports are at the forefront of the workshops and participants can engage and witness the creative process in live motion.
Four prototypes and innovations are on the menu for discussion and the Oxylane team will be continuing to develop the ideas, on the spot, into real concepts.

Design at Work 2009 will be taking place 8 – 10 December in Kortrijk, Belgium.
