A new exhibition opening next month will explore one of Australia’s most renowned architects.

’Glenn Murcutt: Architecture for Place’ will showcase the multi-award-winning architect’s work, presenting photographs, drawings, model and plans.

Featured projects will include the Simpson-Lee House at Mount Wilson, the Marie Short/Glenn Murcutt House in Kempsey as well as the Marika Alderton House in Eastern Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory.

“Awarded architecture’s top prizes, the Pritzker and the American Institute of Architects Gold Medal, Glenn Murcutt’s buildings are celebrated for their sustainability, harmony with the natural world and resonance with Australia’s diverse climate and topography,” say the Historic Houses Trust.

There will be special events accompanying the showcase including an exclusive exhibition viewing with Glenn Murcutt and Lindsay Johnston from the Architecture Foundation Australia on 10 July.

The exhibition at the Museum of Sydney begins on the 13 June and will run until 5 October.
