Anibou Launch the Diz and Muscat

Melbourne mingles over iconic furniture.

Anibou Launch the Diz and Muscat

BY

March 17th, 2010

With sculptural simplicity, the ’Diz’ by Sergio Rodrigues and the ’Muscat’ by Carmen and Urs Greutmann epitomise the traditional elegance of wooden lounge chairs.

Anibou has been distributing iconic international designs in Australia since 1989, as well as representing the work of some exceptional local designers.

Adding to its pedigree as one of the finest furniture stores around, the arrival of Sergio Rodrigues’ ‘Diz’ and the ‘Muscat’ in the Melbourne showroom marks the Australian debut of two undisputed items of inspiring contemporary design.

The extreme elegance of the 2002 ‘Diz’ armchair recalls the artistry of a sculptor, with soothing smooth edges handcrafted from solid eucalyptus, then stained and clear varnished.

Despite being entirely made of wood, the lounge chair is carefully moulded to fit the body’s form, making it as comfortable as it is aesthetically pleasing.

With a similarly sculptural aesthetic, the ’Muscat’ by Carmen and Urs Greutmann for Roethlisberger Kollektion is a solid chestnut louge chair upholstered with soft, dark leather.

The highly sought after items are being launched at the Anibou Showroom in Melbourne Wednesday 24 March 2010 from 5pm.

The intimate event will give specifiers the chance to cosy up to some classic design pieces.
