To launch its range of nail colours, Christian Louboutin has called on architect Tarek Shamma to create a magical all-white cityscape with intriguing details. Read more.
#2 Brooks Brothers Hong Kong
It can be daunting to design for a heritage brand, let alone one that’s been standing for nearly two centuries. Stefano Tordiglione Design was given this momentous task when Brooks Brothers opened its 80-square-metre Hong Kong flagship store in May. Read more.
#3 Kayanoya Soy Sauce Shop
In designing the Kayanoya flagship store in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, Kengo Kuma has drawn inspiration from the company’s traditional warehouse in Kyushu, Southern Japan. Read more.
#4 Compolux
Nendo’s design takes inspiration from the wrought iron fences surrounding the parks, squares and other green spaces in European cities. The team have created screens based on these fences, and suspended them from the ceiling as hanger racks for the clothes. Read more.
#5 Tales Pavilion
Conceived by Italian designer Luca Nichetto, this pavilion for Tales in Beijing has a facade covered in 1,200 pieces of brass tubes. Shaped like blades of grass, the tubes oxidise and change colour naturally with the passing of the seasons, thus merging the building with the natural landscape of Lido Garden. Read more.
