Zenith: 70 years young!
Published

Zenith marks the incredible milestone of seven decades, celebrating as well as looking to the future.
While the INDE.Awards celebrates a 10-year anniversary in 2026, it’s quite a different proposition to know that Zenith is also marking a milestone – not just for one decade, but for an astonishing 70 years of business.
It takes great vision, people with drive and passion, and excellent products to ensure a business evolves and thrives over seven decades. As the Platinum Partner and supporter of The Best of the Best at the INDE.Awards since the program’s inception, Zenith has always had the future firmly in its sights.

As a leader in its field, Zenith has seen the landscape of design change not only in Australia but across the Asia-Pacific region. Established in 1956, Zenith began as a small partitions and joinery business. Over the past 70 years, the company has continually adapted to the changing nature of work, creating environments designed to support productivity, collaboration and human connection.
Today Zenith is recognised for its integrated approach across workplace strategy, furniture design, manufacturing and project deliveries as it partners with architects, designers and organisations across Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
As workplaces have evolved, so too has Zenith: always embracing new technologies and manufacturing techniques, advanced production capabilities, materials and processes to ensure its products support the best workplace solutions for every design.

The commitment to craft extends beyond manufacturing and is integrated across design, logistics and delivery. This allows ideas to move seamlessly from concept to completion, ensuring attention to every detail. Today, with manufacturing facilities, showrooms and teams across the region, Zenith continues to combine local craftsmanship with global workplace thinking.
While the way people work has transformed dramatically over the last 70 years, Zenith has always been at the forefront of workplace design with its people-first approach. From agile environments and collaborative hubs to quiet focus zones and multifunctional spaces, Zenith’s solutions are designed to adapt to changing behaviours and evolving workplace expectations. By combining furniture, spatial thinking and workplace strategy, the company creates environments that support both individual performance and collective interaction.
With people at the very heart of Zenith, it is the longstanding partnerships with architects, designers, builders and organisations that has played a defining role in the company’s evolution. Through close collaboration, Zenith has contributed to projects that support education, healthcare, commercial workplaces, hospitality and public environments throughout the region.

Beyond project delivery too, Zenith continues to foster connections within the broader design community, as is evident in its ongoing support of the INDE.Awards, other events and industry engagements.
While 2026 is a year to reflect on past achievements, it is also a time to look forward as Zenith remains committed to creating workplace solutions that are adaptable and responsible.
As sustainability continues to be an important driver across the business, the commitment to the environment is key and informs material selection, manufacturing processes and long-term product thinking. Innovation also remains central to Zenith’s future vision. Through ongoing investment in research, design and workplace strategy, the company continues to explore how environments can better support the changing relationship between people and work.
As organisations rethink how spaces are used, Zenith remains focused on designing workplaces that foster collaboration, support wellbeing and create a genuine sense of community.
Zenith should be proud to celebrate such a landmark anniversary. As a business, it has been responsible for creating exemplar workplaces and influencing the working environment for 70 years.
Congratulations Zenith! And we look forward to your continued success and contribution to the working life of people across our Asia-Pacific region for the next 70 years!
