Designed by Cera Stribley Architects, Melbourne’s Winning Appliances Richmond Showroom is a luxury kitchen retailer that transforms the shopping experience. This elegant, elaborate and engaging showroom stocks the Zip HydroTap – among other high-end appliances – in a dynamic, multi-sensory display.
The luxury kitchen retailer has an inviting exterior: the white building with soft timber features have large windows that reveal selected segments of its interior. Those passing by are thus invited into the Winning Appliances Richmond Showroom through its teasing of elegant kitchen displays.

Inside, the showroom’s considered architecture creates the perfect environment for an exciting retail experience. Its exposed brick walls and colour palette of black, silver accents and wooden elements give Winning Appliances Richmond Showroom its overall modern warehouse aesthetic. Its light timber floorboards create the feeling of openness while balancing the sophisticated dark hues of the luxury kitchen retailer. Sleek metal frames suspended from the ceiling are reminiscent of exposed scaffolding, further contributing to the industrial look of the showroom, with its warm downlights fostering the sense of homeliness. The incorporation of indoor plants adds softness to the design, resulting in a dynamic and refreshing environment apt for long periods of shopping.
The spatial configuration allows customers to undergo an immersive journey around the showroom. Upon entering modern glass doors, visitors are welcomed with a centerpiece kitchen display that showcases Winning Appliances Richmond Showroom’s elegance and unmatched quality. A roundness and sense of completeness is manifested through the curved stainless steel benchtop of the kitchen, paired with black bar stools and arched chrome Zip HydroTaps.

Winning’s choice of incorporating Zip HydroTaps throughout the showroom indicates not only the appliance’s aesthetic value, but also its high quality and fine capabilities. The HydroTap has a sleek, minimalist design with a single faucet that can deliver instant filtered boiling, chilled and sparkling water – perfect for both homes and commercial kitchens. Importantly, the inclusion of HydroTaps in various kitchen displays communicate the tap’s versatility: matte black HydroTaps elevate the sophistication of bold kitchens with monochromatic colour schemes or marble benchtops, while its arched design balances the clean lines of rustic kitchen styles. Further, Chrome HydroTaps form visual cohesion with steel benchtops or compliment vibrant sink colours.

The multitude of sophisticated and innovative kitchen styles with uniquely curated luxury appliances are elegantly and logically arranged around the centre-piece kitchen, taking customers on a journey towards finding their dream kitchen. This aim is taken to another level by the luxury kitchen retailer as customers can watch professional chefs cook food in these lifestyle kitchens, using each Winning’s appliance to showcase their quality and utility. This unique incorporation of interactive demonstrations transforms the retail experience into one that is dynamic and multi-sensory. Deviating from typical customer service, the Winning Appliances Richmond Showroom allows shoppers to envisage their dream kitchens as they observe how each appliance works in harmony with one another.
“[The space is] designed to allow customers to imagine what the appliances will look like in their dream kitchen, in different styles, rather than just the products themselves.” – John Winning, CEO of Winning Group
