The UNICON Cable Management Basket from DPG Formfittings.
March 31st, 2009
From the outset the UNICON Cable Management Basket from DPG-Formfittings has taken a strong environmental focus.
This environmental priority has had a wonderful flow-on effect to the product’s usability, competitive cost and aesthetic – all of which are paramount to the satisfaction of the client.
Designed using a single material (100% recyclable polypropylene), the UNICON CMB aids the recycling process by reducing materials usage and the associated high-energy usage of applying finishes, paints, dressing welds and more.
Because it is made using polypropylene, the UNICON CMB is VOC emission-free and does not contain UV stabilisers.
It is injection-moulded in white or silver, which eliminates the need for additional finishes, and is an environmental improvement on its metal predecessors which use VOC-emitting powdercoating processes.
Approaching sustainable design from all angles, the UNICON CMB comes flat-packed, significantly cutting its carbon footprint compared to folded metal CMBs.
Its custom design focuses on longevity and maximum functionality giving it the ability to adapt to different user needs over its long lifespan.
The UNICON CMB can be cut to size, folded to suit tight spaces, customised with simple, non-electrical tools and is modular in nature.
Additional lengths can be quickly snapped on and off. It can also be removed, repositioned and replaced quickly with hand tools to aid user interaction.
