Seeho Su brings Asia’s outstanding furniture brands to Australian shores.
March 30th, 2010
Seeho Su was established by Joyce Seeho in honour of her grandfather Seeho Su, who landed on Australian shores 87 years ago to start a new life for himself and his family.
The company echoes its namesake’s history, bringing Asian furniture brands to Australia.
“The Japanese and Chinese have a stunning design aesthetic of their own, which offers a beautiful alternative to the more conservative European and American design styles,” said Joyce Seeho.
Seeho Su’s range is headlined by the Maruni collection, which is 87 years old.
Under the design directorship of Naoto Fukusawa, the Maruni ‘Hiroshima’ collection of chairs is a particular standout, with its simple, subtle forms and smooth woody textures.
Also making up Seeho Su’s furniture range is Shanghai Brand Neri & Hu, the brainchild of Lyndon Neri and Rosanna Hu.
With so much untapped Asian design heading for Australian shores, Seeho Su is sure to be a great success with architects, designers and specifiers in search of inspirational furniture pieces for their projects.
