Mondopiero is a mecca for design aficionados seeking excellence, rarity and a striking point of difference.
June 14th, 2016
Designer Piero Gesualdi always dreamed of opening a European-style emporium in Melbourne. After running a successful fashion business in the 1970s and ‘80s, he then went on to operate Rosati’s in Flinders Lane. Having reached a certain point in his career, it was time to please himself as much as forge new territory. With colleague Paolo Gnecchi-Ruscone, project director and product developer, Mondopiero brings a breath of fresh air to Melbourne’s design scene. Adjacent to popular Gertrude Street, Mondopiero showcases some of the most coveted designs from around the world: fashion from Alberto Aspesi, lights from Fortuny and linen from Busatti.
