Signature Prints has announced a one off auction event, featuring a range of limited edition silkscreen art pieces.

Signature Prints, the company that revitalised Australia’s Florence Broadhurst into a 21st Century design icon, is also home to arguably the largest Decorative Arts reference archive in the Southern Hemisphere. This archive has been assembled and held for decades in the form of film positives and silk screens – used for traditional methods of print.
Signature Prints, whilst retaining its roots in traditional hand silkscreen printing, is now incorporating modern printing technology. A flatbed textile printing machine, in Rosebery, Sydney, has been decommissioned to make way for new digital technology. Silkscreen panels featuring designs from the past 4 decades are now being offered as works of art. These one-off Limited Edition Art Pieces are being sold for the first time. Art and design auction house Shapiro Auctioneers will present a legendary event on at the print studio of Signature Prints.
The following items will be available for auction:
A range of Framed Silk Screen Panels presented as a series of limited edition art works. Each panel is unique, and the series spans a 40-year period and covers a number of design libraries including Florence Broadhurst, Blume and Signature Prints.
A series of Wallpapers, Friezes and Borders from the Signature Prints print archive. This collection includes Restoration, Victorian, Art Nouveau, and Art Deco.
A collection of Textiles printed and stored over a long period of time. The lots will include one-off pieces of printed canvas through to 10 metre roll lengths printed on a variety of bases.
A range of limited edition Silk Screen Printed Art spanning a number of years from iconic pens such as Florence Broadhurst and Linda Jackson.
These lots are presented amongst a number of other Florence Broadhurt items. The auction event is a unique opportunity to experience and collect a slice of Australia’s design history. The auction will comprise of approximately 250 lots and will be held on site.
Viewings will be held from September 11-13, and the action itself begins on September 13 at 1pm
