Euroluce got things pumping early on Saturday, with a DJ taking to the decks at 10am. The showroom looked beautiful, with a stunning Project installation – the work of Euroluce, bleux and Donn Salisbury of Vision Design – creating a nature-inspired walk-through experience across the whole space. It all worked really well with the architecture-inspired FLOS lighting softly illuminating the showroom.
Across the courtyard, Arthur G’s showroom had its Saturday in Design debut, with a cute Project installation by Luchetti Krelle complete with chemistry lab objects and toxic waste barrels!
Arthur G were sharing with Boyac Contract, and special guest Hervé Langlais was hanging out chatting to visitors about his beautiful shimmering metallic textiles, lighting and accessories.
The design goodness continued next door at Workshopped, this time with emerging Australian design on show.
Iken had Ulf Weinert, Export Director for Sedus, on hand at their showroom launching the exciting new partnership between the 2 companies. The Sedus Mr 24 chair was just one of the products on show from the German furniture manufacturer.
It was great to see Signature Floors’ Flexo Rubber up close, and Konfurb’s new Searl chair was like sitting in a 4-leaf clover.
Stable Studios brought together a medley of exhibitors that somehow all worked really well. Uplifting Solutions’ EVO LCD monitor arms made for a cool display, and Dexion Office put their storage systems and planters to good use – by filling them up with jellybeans and licorice allsorts!
Stable Studios was also the place to check out the latest bathroom trends from Caroma, and Sampford IXL had a fully functional kitchen set-up decked out with Neff and Gaggenau. Of course the best way to show off your kitchen is to give a demonstration, and Sampford IXL had the place smelling like a bakery with a cookie bake-off.
Classique gave their C-ique Design Bar a work-out with a VIP party on Friday night, rocking on with cocktails and giveaways on the Saturday.
Hafele’s showroom enjoyed it’s first-ever Saturday in Design – here’s to many more to come!
Parterre embraced the outdoors with a BBQ demonstration and an ’Earth, Wind, Fire’-inspired Project installation. Iluka Furniture’s new range made a striking centrepoint to the showroom, stacked up to look like their company logo.
