Xchange presents a new range of office furniture inspired by the future of workplace ergonomics.

“… Who are Xchange? xchange is a global design community with partners in Europe, USA, Asia and Australia. The founders of the company Daniel Korb and Anthony Kotarac – both architects – believe that “furniture is architecture on a different scale”. This thinking has shaped xchange’s approach to furniture design resulting in solutions that seamlessly fuse utility and beauty. The new ‘XE’ system is no different in its approach…
What is ‘XE’?
‘XE’ is a system platform xchange designed to address ergonomics in the broader sense of its original meaning. People tend to use ergonomics to describe the design of objects but in reality it is about the relationship between a person and the things around them, but the ‘E’ in ‘XE’ can be substituted for any other xchange values of Essence, Energy, Environment, Exchange, Emotion, Efficency.
The changing definition of work today demands a new concept of the office. As we are no longer tied to a computer monitor and technology allows us to work where we want, the old categories are becoming less relevant. Traditionally there was a need for one’s ‘own desk’ that could be translated into a ‘home’ or a ‘base’, which increasingly today does not have to be a workstation per se, but in each situation the quality of space designed should not be compromised.
‘XE’ provides solutions around various key elements – tables, haus, retreats, storage and seating integrating needs for privacy, acoustics and colour to create a holistic environment for todays changing working scenarios. ‘XE’ is focusing on a better understanding of space and human needs using design to solve these problems.
