The installation for Art Stage Singapore is the result of an Artist-in-Residence Exchange Programme featuring Singaporean architect Randy Chan and British artist Philippa Lawrence.
January 16th, 2014
The Artist-in-Residence Exchange Programme (SIF-BC AiRx) is a collaboration between the Singapore International Foundation (SIF) and the British Council (BC) and is aimed at bridging communities between the two countries through the exchange of ideas, perspectives and collaborations in the arts and thought leadership.
Supported by Swarovski, the third Artist-in-Residence Exchange (AiRx) presents “Angles of Incidence”, a site-specific collaborative installation between Singaporean architect Randy Chan and British artist Philippa Lawrence.
Unveiled during Singapore Art Week this week, the installation is inspired by the universal themes of heritage and memory, and is currently being exhibited at Botanic Gardens, located near the Bandstand.
To run from 14 January – 23 March 2014. Admission is free.
