Contemporary electronic design meets Art Deco in the new Cool Modern Collection of brass-toned sound systems, speakers and televisions by Bang & Olufsen.
February 8th, 2017
The monochrome world of contemporary electronic design gets an infusion of colour in the new collection of wireless music systems, speakers and televisions created by Bang & Olufsen. Introduced to commemorate Bang & Olufsen’s 91st anniversary, the new Cool Modern Collection adds an inspired touch of early 20th century Art Deco to the iconic brand’s Nordic minimalism with the timeless elegance of warm brass tones and rich textile colours interpreted in a contemporary design language.
The new brass-toned collection includes the BeoVision 14 television, BeoSound 35 wireless music system, BeoLab 18 speakers, and BeoSound 1 and BeoSound 2 wireless speaker systems. Products also part of the Cool Modern Collection include BeoRemote One Bluetooth, BeoSound 2 (available in March 2017), BeoLab 5, BeoLab 17, BeoLab 19 and BeoLab 90.
Bang & Olufsen’s new permanent collection dares to cross the traditional monochromatic barriers of electronic design by draping a line of music, speaker and television systems in bold colours, blending modern technology and interior trends with the decorative art of the 1920s when the brand was founded.
The celebration of colour continues on the speaker covers with the Cool Modern Collection introducing two new jewel-toned fabric colours, Purple Heart and Parisian Night. While Purple Heart evokes an aged wine and dark heather vibe, Parisian Night captures the mystery of a velvety blue night sky.
BeoLab 18 and BeoVision 14 are fitted with smoked oak lamellas on the speaker covers, and paired with matte black stands and wall mounts to complement the new brass-toned frame.
The new Cool Modern Collection is available in all Bang & Olufsen retail stores with the product range priced the same as standard variants.
