Bigger, better and more experiential – The House of W. Atelier invites you to step inside an immersive luxury home setting courtesy of Fritz Hansen, SieMatic and a host of carefully curated brands.
January 29th, 2018
The year 2017 was a year of rapid expansion for W. Atelier. Following the grand opening of its 20,000-square-feet flagship showroom on Henderson Road, the atelier has revamped its former Bukit Timah location into a gorgeous showroom that offers an immersive luxury home experience.
Dubbed the House of W. Atelier, the refurbished showroom is the flagship for Danish heritage furniture brand Fritz Hansen and German high-tech kitchen brand SieMatic. Complementing these two prestigious brands is a carefully curated selection of international brands that includes Zanotta, Lema, Lasvit, Santa & Cole and Lightyears.
“We want to immerse our customers in a luxury experience that can be theirs to own at home,” said Gani Atmadiredja, Managing Director of W. Atelier at the opening of the showroom.
The spaces within House of W. Atelier are designed to replicate the actual layout of a home. Visitors are received into the living area populated with Fritz Hansen’s iconic collection. Lining the glazed facade and catching the eyes of the passers-by are the Series 7 chairs in various colours and finishes.
At the centre of the room is a spacious seating area featuring Fritz Hansen’s evergreen collection designed by Danish legend Poul Kjærholm, including the PK80 daybed, PK22 lounge chairs and the plush PH31 sofa. Arne Jacobsen’s iconic Egg chair occupies a corner next to a bookshelf while a couple of Swan chairs and an Ant chair sit in another.
This living area segues into a dining area at the far end of the showroom, where Jaime Hayon’s Drop chairs are set around Kjærholm’s PK54A dining table, and Jacobsen’s Grand Prix chairs are paired harmoniously with the Super Elliptical dining table designed by Jacobsen with Piet Hein and Bruno Mathsson. Meanwhile, a cosy kitchen with a marble-top island by SieMatic presides over the dining setting.
Further inside the showroom, the space unfolds into a home office, bedroom and a live kitchen setting from SieMatic where visitors can gather round and have a chat while sharing a bottle of wine.
Raising the bar on the immersive luxury home experience, W. Atelier rounds off the showroom’s setting with artworks and programmes in collaboration with culinary studio My Turn To Host (MYTH), which will see the kitchen sets come to life with various cooking, baking and hospitality classes.
