The 505 system of modular shelving is a blockbuster of Italy’s Molteni&C collection – constantly evolving yet constantly impressive, and now it’s even better.
April 14th, 2020
Modular shelving is a popular design solution for contemporary homes. As space is always at a premium in modern living, especially in 21st century apartments, the ability to change and customise shelving as needs evolve is a great design solution.
The popular 505 modular shelving system has long been considered a highlight in a collection of highlights from Molteni&C. Evolving and changing as much as the shelves themselves can, innovative features continue to refresh and broaden the 505’s infinite uses. Now, Molteni&C have added a new glass door option for the selves, complete with a handle built into the metal profile.
The glass door options see slim glass partitions ready to be positioned rationally on the load-bearing modular shelves, to best separate books, ornaments and anything else, so that they are easy to see and enjoy.
505 is a modular shelving system with strong, load-bearing lateral pieces, which develops as a series of modular furnishings with a wide range of options. The options for the 505 system means interior designers can have customised shelves for a bookcase, TV System, multipurpose cabinet, and other storage and service elements.
The finishes, matt or glossy lacquered or woods and now glasses, can be mixed and matched to suit any contemporary aesthetic, and answer to the modern needs of any home or office.
To complete the modular system, Molteni&C offer multimedia compartments, different worktops, and the possibility to compose set of containers, placed directly on the floor or hung just above floor level.
Finished off with an innovative system of projecting doors in hide, wood, or lacquered finishes, the modular shelving system can also have a fresh, clean look with these surfaces completely independent from the overall design.
Locally, the Molteni&C’s 505 system is available exclusively from P5, the premier name in Italian and designer furniture in Singapore.
